Clean Eating Pumpkin Pie

Now…What is pie crust without actual pie to go in it??

This is my favorite pie ever!!

Now, who doesn’t love pumpkin pie!? It’s the one kind of pie I HAVE to have around the holidays. It’s just a must!

But like all good and yummy things, it’s not the best thing for us :/ So, I decided this year I was going to find a recipe or at least come up with one, that fit with my nutrition goals. And I did just that! And I wanted to share it with all of you!

This recipe makes 2 traditional sized pies 🙂

  • 2 cups prepared pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk (you can also use soy, rice milk or full fat cow’s milk)

  • Combine all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Pour mixture into pie crusts (find the recipe I used here)
  • Bake at 425 degrees (F) for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees (F) and bake for an additional 45 minutes.
  • Notes: This pie is not very sweet. If you would like your pie to be sweeter, just add an extra 1/4 honey.
